Mr. Kristyven Andy Putchay

State Counsel, Attorney General’s Office Mr. Putchay holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree with Honours and a Post Graduate Diploma in Law from the University of Wolverhampton. He is an Associate Member of the CHARTERED INSTITUTE OF ARBITRATORS (UK) since 2017.

In 2018, Mr. Putchay obtained a University Diploma in the Mauritian civil code from the University of Reunion and in 2020 he was awarded a LLM degree by the Nottingham Law School. After completing the Bar Vocational Course at BPP Law School, Mr. Putchay was called to the Bar of England and Wales in 2006.

Between 2006 to 2012, Mr Putchay represented the HMRC in the Bankruptcy Division of the High Court in London appearing in interlocutory applications and trials. In 2011, Mr Putchay was admitted as a Solicitor-Advocate by the Law Society of England & Wales. From 2012 to 2016, Mr Putchay was a Partner at RW Anderson Solicitors in Central London in charge of the civil litigation and conveyancing departments. Mr Putchay was called to the Mauritian Bar in 2016. In June 2016, he joined the Attorney-General’s Office in Mauritius as Legal Research Officer. In June 2018 he was appointed to the post of State Counsel at the Attorney-General’s Office.

Mrs. Pratima Sewpal is Senior Manager in the ICT Digital Services Cluster at Economic Development Board Mauritius which is the National Investment Promotion agency of the Government of Mauritius with the mandate to promote and facilitate investment in the country.
